5 Tips for Winter Skin

January 05, 2022

Woman Blowing Snow

Wintertime can be magical and fun filled with hot chocolate bombs, snow days, fuzzy socks and oversized sweaters. And with all these fun activities, it can also be filled with dry, itchy and flaky skin. Well that is a no no at Loganne’s Love. With a few simple changes, you can keep your skin glowing through the cold winter months.

1. Drink Water

Hydrate your skin from the inside out by making sure you get enough water. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water will help to keep you hydrated internally. If you feel your skin is still feeling dry, sleeping with a humidifier is another great option to keep your skin hydrated and glowing.

2. Use Sunscreen

Sunscreen is a must have all year long. Wear at least 15 SPF everyday and don’t forget to protect your lips too! And even on cloudy days make sure to protect your skin from the sun rays.

3. Moisturize

Applying lotions or creams to your skin is the perfect way to keep your skin feeling soft. Moisturize often…like after washing your hands and after going outside. If you prefer a lotion or cream, check our collection of products.

4. Exfoliate

Gently removing dead skin cells is one of the best ways to keep your skin soft and hydrated. Try exfoliating once a week, and see how your skin feels. The key is to be gentle, so that skin is not irritated. Our gentle Delicious polish is a great exfoliant and moisturizer.

5. Skip the Hot Shower

Don’t skip the shower all together, but try turning the water temperature down or make your shower shorter. Also keep this in mind when washing your hands to turn the temperature down.
